The Swinging Rope

The dragon flapped his wings. Whoosh! The rope swung closer. Milo reached up with his shield. Tap! The rope moved. Ding! Ding! The Kingdom Bell rang, and the animals cheered.

The Queen came running. “You were brave,” she said. Milo smiled. “I was scared, but my friends helped me.” The Queen gave Milo a golden bell badge and Sunny a silver one.

Milo felt proud. He was not brave because he was big. He was brave because he cared, and because he had friends.

Milo and Sunny became the Kingdom’s Kind Knights. They helped many more animals, and they always worked together.
