Everyone Pulls Together

The rabbit pulled the rope. The duck pulled too. Sunny held it with her teeth, Milo pulled with both hands, and the dragon flapped his wings. Together, they pulled. Ding! Ding! The Kingdom Bell rang, and the animals cheered.

The Queen came running. “You were brave,” she said. Milo smiled. “I was scared, but we helped each other.” The Queen gave everyone a golden leaf. She gave Milo an extra one because he had brought them all together.

Milo felt proud. He was not brave because he was big. He was brave because he cared, and because he had friends.

Milo and Sunny became the Kingdom’s Kind Knights. They helped many more animals, and they always worked together.
